Founded in 2000, the company has set as its goal to consolidate the water treatment sector. H2O Innovation has developed an understanding of market issues, seized opportunities, and completed acquisitions that have made it into a major industry actor. Along the way, it has built a comprehensive portfolio of complementary water purification and treatment solutions.

The company now covers virtually all applications in its field, from ultrapure drinking water production to the treatment of wastewater and water from industrial processes. As a provider of creative, reliable, and powerful solutions for today’s leading social concerns, H2O Innovation can now use its sophisticated achievements as a springboard toward a flourishing future.

A look back at our operations:
  • 2000: The company is created
  • 2000: Can$3 million in funding and acquisition of Darv-Eau Inc.
    The company provides membrane filtration expertise (NF, RO) as well as a 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and assembly plant.
  • 2001: Listing on the CDNX (TSX-V) exchange.
    H2O Innovation becomes Quebec’s first publicly traded water treatment company.
  • 2002: Acquisition of OxydH2O and Systèmes Bioflo Inc.
    H2O Innovation gains a water purification component through the RBR, BIOTOWER, and BIO-FOSSE technologies.
  • 2005: Acquisition of Biosor Technologies Inc.
    The wastewater division portfolio is rounded out with the BIOSORTM technology for high load effluent treatment.
  • 2005: Signing of an agreement to open a Can$80 million equity line of credit with Amsterdams Effectenkantoor (AEK), securing capital for projects and enabling a Can$3.5 million investment in cooperation with AEK.
  • 2006: Closing of Can$10.1 million in equity financing in cooperation with AEK.
  • 2006: Acquisition of Membrane Systems Corporation (a California company serving the U.S.).
     H2O Innovation gains expertise in seawater desalination and onsite construction of high capacity membrane filtration plants.
  • 2007: Listing on the Alternext Euronext exchange.
    H2O Innovation becomes the first North American company admitted to this exchange and attracts the attention of European sustainable development funds.
  • 2007: Closing of Can$15.5 million in equity financing in cooperation with AEK, opening the door to further acquisitions and organic growth.
  • 2007: Acquisition of Sigma Environmental Solutions Inc.
    This transaction increases H2O sales force in Western Canada and strenghtens its offer to the oil and mining industry.
  • 2008: Acquisition of Wastewater Technology Inc.
    This acquisition brings an expertise in wastewater treatment with patented technologies. 
  • 2008: Acquisition of Itasca Systems Inc.
    H2O Innovation gains expertise in process water treatment as well as a 37,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and assembly facility.
